Your offer sucks because it’s about you, not them
Reading time: 2.5 minutes
Most offers fail because they are written like a diary entry
I want to sell this
I think this is valuable
I built this for six months
Nobody cares
Buyers have one thought in their mind
What’s in it for me
If your offer answers that instantly
You win
If it doesn’t
You lose
Here’s what bad offers sound like
“I built the most advanced SEO tool using GPT-4 and custom algorithms”
Here’s what good offers sound like
“Get 10,000 words of SEO content done for you in under 30 minutes”
Same product
Different focus
One is about you
One is about them
When you frame your offer, cut out anything that sounds like a pitch about your journey
Your audience is not your therapist
Talk about outcomes
Talk about ease
Talk about savings
Talk about speed
Talk about status
That is what sells
How to flip your offer
1. Write down what you want to sell
2. Ask yourself “Why would anyone even care”
3. Rewrite the pitch until it screams benefits, not features
If you make them feel the win before they pay
You have already sold it
